Many people are aware of the power of gratitude. Embracing an “attitude of gratitude” can have a profound effect on your life. But what does that look like?  We are all unique, so it makes sense that this will vary from one person to the next. There is no right or wrong way to be grateful.

For me, the things for which I am the most profoundly grateful all have one thing in common-simplicity.

Sure, I am grateful for all kinds of things, but the things that really make my heart sing and give me the greatest feelings of gratitude are simple.

~when I see my horses in their paddock

~when I feel the weight and heat of my dogs snuggled up to me in my bed (heaven!)

~when Westley, my yellow lab, rests his head on my shoulder, his big brown eyes silently imploring me to get up and feed him

~when I hear the peep frogs in the spring

~when I see fireflies in the summer

~when I see a rainbow

Something inside of me bubbles over with so much gratitude for these things-these beautiful simple things.

I think it is important to get in touch with the things for which we are grateful solely because they make us feel happy inside.

Practice Gratitude. Feel Joy. Repeat.
